People with non-expandable memory may have learnt to live with the “memory low” notification on their smartphones. Google’s flagship smartphone Nexus doesn’t come with expandable memory. Those who buy 16GB memory device will always face issues with space. What happens when you are with friends, you are clicking pictures with your HD camera with amazing resolution and you run out of storage. What are you gonna do? Cleaning memory properly without deleting important files, images and videos could take a while. But what are you going to do in the middle of these situations? You need to have quick and easy ways to clean up space on android device.
Here are some quick and easy ways to Clean up Space on your android device:
Clear Up Space by Removing Cached Data
This is the first step you should take to clear memory. It is the quickest way to clean up a lot of space. Let’s take a look at my own smartphone with 16GB Internal Memory right now. It has 1.27 GB of data and it’s of no use to me. You can delete this data without any worries of losing something important. It usually consists of data collected from websites when you are browsing and is not of much use for the user. You can find the Cached Data by going to Settings>Storage>Cached Data
So, what happens when I clear the cached data?
It goes from 1.27GB to 1.69MB. So, you can imagine how effective this is and it hardly takes few seconds to clean up. But the question arises, if just by clearing cached data you can free up so much of space, why do you need to delete data ever? The problem with this method is that as fast the cache memory clears up, it fills up as well. In just 5 minutes it will be 4-5min filled without even touching the phone.
2.Use The Power Of The Google Drive
Some of us may not be using the Google Drive efficiently. It can be very useful in these moments. However, you may need an Internet Connection for this. You can use the drive to clean up space on your smartphone. Just send some of your images and documents to the drive and delete them from your phone without thinking twice as it has all been synced to your google account and you can download them later on your PC or smartphone.

3. Uninstall App Updates
It is similar to deleting cached data from storage but this is for individual apps. There are at least 5-7 apps which you never use but frequently update. These updates take some space on your Internal Storage or External Storage depending on where the app is installed. For this, you need to go to Settings>Apps. Now, in an immediate situation, you can uninstall some of the Google Bloatware which consists of apps like Drive, Calendar, Hangouts, Mail, Play Games, Play Music, Play Movies, News and Weather, Voice Search etc. Now some of you may use these apps,if you do, then you shouldn’t touch these. But if you don’t then you need to go to Settings>Apps and then select the app you need to remove updates from. This would clear out some memory. You can even clear some other apps which you do not need.
Well, if you can’t take care of the job or don’t have the time, the best option is to use a third party app. CCleaner is one of the best apps to clear your memory. CCleaner will clean your call logs, unused apk files, cache memory etc all in one. You can analyse your memory first for unwanted files and then you can even select what you want to delete.

5.Transfer Everything To External Memory Card
Do this in your free time, it could take a while but this is good in the long run. Make sure you transfer all your apps to external memory card, make sure your camera saves all the images and videos to external memory card. If you have Android v6 (Marshmallow) and above, you can include your memory card as Internal Storage. You can do this by going to Settings>Memory and click on the arrow next to external storage. Clicking on the arrow will remove your external memory card and you will lose the apps installed on external memory card. After unmounting, format the memory card and select the option to Use it as Internal Storage.
