Samsung has revealed latest smartphone in its Galaxy On series, the Samsung Galaxy On7 (2016) in China. The Galaxy On7 (2016) is the successor to the last year’s Galaxy On7 and On7 pro. The smartphone falls in the mid-budget category and is priced at CNY 1599 (roughly Rs.16000). The smartphone is now available on the Samsung’s China site for the customers.
The main highlight of the Galaxy On7 (2016) is its full metal design which looks premium. In addition to the metal design, it also comes in a jet black colour variant which further enhances the look of the smartphone. Another highlight of the phone is the fingerprint sensor which is embedded in the home button.

The Samsung Galaxy On7 (2016) measures 151.5 x 74.9 x 8.1 mm and weighs 167g. On7 runs Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow Operating System and features a 5.5 inch Full-HD TFT Display offering 401ppi with Corning Gorilla Glass 4 protection. It is powered by 2GHz octa-core Snapdragon 625 processor along with 3GB of RAM and Adreno 506 GPU. It has 32GB of internal storage and can be expanded up to 256 GB using the micro SD card.
In the camera department, it comes with 13 megapixels camera with f/1.9 aperture, autofocus and LED flash module. The rear camera can record Full-HD Videos at 30fps. It has an 8-megapixel front facing the camera with f/1.9 aperture. It includes a 3300mAh removable battery which supports fast charging. However, the speed of fast charging has not been specified by the company. It will be available in three colour options, Black and Gold and Rose Gold .
Connectivity options for the phone include 4G LTE, VoLTE 3G, Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi, GPS/A-GPS, 3.5mm audio jack and Micro USB 2.0. The Galaxy On7 (2016) metal design includes a hybrid dual-SIM (nano-SIM) slot. A Hybrid slot can be used to insert two SIM-cards or one SIM and one microSD card (up to 256GB). It also includes Accelerometer, Gyroscope, Ambient light sensor and proximity sensor.
The Samsung Galaxy On7 (2016) includes a fingerprint sensor below the home button at front. The introduction of fingerprint sensor enhances the security. Galaxy On7 (2016) comes preloaded with Samsung’s Knox security apps.
