Lenovo has launched its latest Moto Z series at its event, Lenovo Tech World 2016 in San Francisco on Thursday. The event showcased the two smartphones, Moto Z and Moto Z Force. Both the phones were launched with Moto Mods magnetic snap-on modules. Lenovo has partnered with JBL and Incipio for moto mods , providing different modules.
Lenovo has also launched the Lenovo Phab 2, Phab 2 Plus and Phab 2 Pro along with the Moto Z smartphones at the event. Lenovo Phab Pro is the first Tango smartphone which is developed in collaboration with Google.
The Moto Z is said to be the thinnest premium smartphone in the world, measuring 153.3 x 75.3 x 5.2 mm and weighs 138g. It comes with latest Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow Operating System and features a 5.5 inch Full-HD Quad-HD AMOLED Display offering 535ppi and comes with Gorilla Glass 4 protection. It is powered by 2.2 GHz Quad-core Snapdragon 820 processor along with 4GB of RAM and Adreno 405 GPU. It has 32GB and 64GB memory option and can be expanded up to 256GB using microSD card.
It comes with 16-megapixel camera with autofocus and LED flash module. It also has a 5 mega-pixel front facing camera. It includes a massive 4900mAh removable battery which makes it a powerhouse.
It comes with 13 mega-pixel camera with f/1.8 aperture, Laser autofocus, LED flash and OIS (optical image stabilisation).it also has a 5 mega-pixel front facing camera with wide angle lens and comes with front flash.
It includes a 2600mAh battery with TurboPower charging which gives 8 hours of battery life with 15 minutes of charging. The Smartphone features Fingerprint sensor at the home button. It supports the USB Type-C port and ditched the 3.5mm audio jack.
Moto Z Force
The Moto Z Force comes with Moto ShatterShield technology, which was seen in Moto X-Force. Company claims, the display will not crack or shatter. All the specifications of Moto Z Force are identical to Moto Z, except the larger 3500mAh battery with TurboPower charging which gives 15 hours of battery with 15 minutes of charging.
It comes with 21 megapixel camera with Phase detection autofocus, Laser autofocus, LED flash and OIS (optical image stabilisation).it also has a 5 mega-pixel front facing camera with wide angle lens and comes with front flash.
Moto Mods magnetic snap on modules were launched along with the smartphones at the event. The ‘Moto Mods’ connects to the 16 dots at the rear. At the launch, it will come with JBL SoundBoost, the Moto Insta-Share Projector and Power Pack. Moto Insta-Share Projector can deliver 70-inch projection and Power Pack is said to provide 22 hours of additional battery life. Different style shells will be available to customise the look of you phone, which offers leather, fabric and wood finish.
The Motorola Moto Z and Moto Z Force will be available from September. However, there is no detail about the pricing of both the smartphones.
