Coolpad Max, the latest smartphone by Chinese company, Coolpad. The phone was launched today at Rs.24,999 and will be available only on Amazon. It is the flagship phone for Coolpad this year and will be available from 12pm May 30.
Coolpad Max Features and Specifications
Coolpad Max sports a 5.5-inch full-HD(1080×1920 pixels) display with 401ppi protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 4. It runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop and Coolpad’s very own CoolUI 8.0. To power it, we have a 64-bit 1.5 GHz octa-core Snapdragon 617 SoC coupled with 4GB of RAM.There is only one memory variant of 64GB with memory expansion via microSD hybrid SIM slot upto 64GB.
The camera on the back is a 13-megapixel camera with an Isocell sensor, f/2.0 aperture, phase detection autofocus (PDAF) and dual-tone LED flash. The front camera is a 5-megapixel camera with f/2.2 aperture.
Dual-SIM Standby Support
Coolpad Max offers dual-SIM and dual standby support which is available for the first time in India. Coolpad is known for bringing new features, they gave us the dual camera phone in 2014. The “Dual in One” system for dual-SIM standby support a separate external system and a secure internal system for encryption of the user’s calls and texts. The internal system can be used to download “fully secure” apps.

Talking of Dual things, Coolpad Max allows you to have two accounts on WhatsApp, Facebook, Messenger, and other apps on the same phone with its Dual Space System. However using two apps will consume twice the space on the memory.
The connectivity facilities of Coolpad Max include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth etc. It also comes with a fingerprint scanner on the back.
The battery is a 2800mAh non-removable battery which is claimed to run for 310 hours of standby time and up to 17 hours of talk time. The smartphone also supports Quick Charge 3.0 feature that can charge the device in 5 minutes and can provide up to 3 hours of talk time.
Coolpad Max is available in Rose Gold and Royal Gold colour variants.
Coolpad has plans for offline channels for sales and has opened an R&D centre in Bengaluru. The After sales services will be handled by HCL.
