Samsung Galaxy S7 Mini is the new rumoured smartphone by Samsung to be launched in competetion with the upcoming Apple’s mid-ranged iPhone SE. The new iPhone SE is going to launch on March 21. The new Galaxy S7 Mini is supposed to have Snapdragon 820 or Exynos 8890 processor.

The new Galaxy S7 Mini is supposed to have a 4.6-inch HD(720×1280) resolution display and a Snapdragon 820 or Exynos 8890 processor. The flagship models, Samsung Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge also have the same processors. The Galaxy S7 Mini is also supposed to have 3GB of RAM and a 12-megapixel rear camera. It has a thickness of 9.9mm thin.

The iPhone SE is right along the curve now releasing on March 21. It will be based on the iPhone 5S design with a 4-inch display. The features will be a mix of iPhone 6 and iPhone 6S. There is also a speculation of iOS 9.3 which Apple has been testing for a while and it is likely to come with iPhone SE. The update will include features like a special mode to help people sleep(apps like f.lux), and new security settings. The new iPhone will be priced around $400-$500(Rs.27,500-Rs.34,500) which is quite low compared to iPhone 6 and 6S.

The iPhone SE will be powered by A9 SoC and M9 c0-processor. However. it is unlikely to see the new 3D Touch feature of the iPhone 6S, but it will support Live Photos feature. As for connectivity features, the iPhone SE will support 802.11ac Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.2, and VoLTE, as seen on the iPhone 6s.

This may could be a rumour but as we have seen in the past, Samsung usually releases a Mini model of their flagship smartphones. There is also a rumour of a ‘periscope lens’, but that might be sold separately as an accessories. To confirm the rumour, we may have to wait for a few weeks.
