Oppo F1 is the first smartphone by Oppo in the new ‘F-series’.It will be releasing next Monday,Feb 8 in Australia.The phone was listed on the Dick Smith Electronics website.

F1 sports a 5.0-inch IPS LCD (720×1280 pixels) and a pixel density of 294 ppi.The screen is protected by a  Corning Gorilla Glass 4.

Oppo F1 Performance

F1 packs an 1.7 GHz Octa-core (Cortex-A53) Qualcomm MSM8939v2 Snapdragon 616 and the GPU is handled by Adreno 405.It runs android v5.1.1 Lollipop with Oppo’s Color OS 2.1.

The octa-core processor is accompanied by 3GB of RAM and comes with an internal memory of 16GB with an option to expand the memory with a microSD card upto 128GB by using  SIM 2 slot.

The front camera is a 13-megapixel with f/2.2,phase detection,HDR which shoots videos at 1080p@30fps.The front camera is a 8-megapixel selfie camera with Beautify 3.0 with f/2.0,1.4″ sensor size and fullHD recording.

The battery is a non-removable 2,500 mAh battery.

Oppo F1 is going to release in Australia on February 8 at $299.It has a polished aluminium surface for the rear panel with neatly chamfered edges.

The camera is an ISOCELL camera with an “anti-shake optimization” feature by Oppo which captures the best shot automatically after the shutter button is pressed.Oppo has a Pure Image 2.0 software for the F1.It has a Ultra HD mode which uses four images to create a single 50-megapixel image.

It seems that oppo is focussing more on the camera capabilities for the F-series phones because there is a second Oppo smartphone which will be focused on photography.

Considering the popularity of android in the market.Oppo is also planning to release an android version of Oppo Find 7 smartphone.
