BlackBerry’s Android Smartphone Launch Event

BlackBerry’s Android Smartphone,Priv has been in talks for a while as BlackBerry is depending on how will it be received by the android community.We saw the release of BlackBerry Priv last year in November which sported the classic BlackBerry keyboard with the new gen touch screen trend.The first BlackBerry phone was available in UK,a week after its release and now its all set to release in India on January 29th.

There are two BlackBerry’s Android Smartphones,the first one is called the BlackBerry Priv. Priv sports a sliding qwerty keyboard with a touch screen as well.Users can use both,touch screen or keyboard to type.It runs android v5.1.1,5.4-inch display with 540ppi,Qualcomm MSM8992 Snapdragon 808 Dual-core 1.8GHz Cortex A57 & Quad-core 1.44 GHz Cortex A53 processor with Adrena 418 GPU,3GB of RAM,32GB storage with microSD card expansion,18MP front camera,2 megapixel rear camera and a battery of 3410mAh.

Priv is confirmed to be launched in India on January 29th of the two BlackBerry’s Android Smartphones.However,the second smartphone may not make it to India yet.

BlackBerry Vienna is the second attempt by BlackBerry to make its place in the android community.They went classic for the design of Vienna and gave it a permanent front qwerty keyboard instead of a slider like Priv.Vienna looks like a stretched out classic and may or may not have a touch screen keyboard.We have some renders of the Vienna as it hasn’t been officially launched.

It is supposed to be a mid-ranged device featuring a 13 megapixel camera and may come with the latest android v6 Marshmallow.BlackBerry CEO,John Chen said in a Fox Business New Interview that the company will focus on high-end closer to mid-range phones in 2016 depending on the performance of the BlackBerry Priv smartphone in the market.Chen told CNET,”so far,so good.I’m taking a cautiously optimistic view.”
