TCL T500 with 4G and Iris Scanner Launched in India
TCL has launched its latest smartphone Pride T500L with 4G and Iris Scanner in India. It is priced at Rs. 10,499 and is available only on Snapdeal.
The special feature in the phone is its Iris Scanner feature, which is used to unlock the device by scanning the iris (Eye) of the user using front camera. The company says that it is the first smartphone in India which features an iris scanner. In 2014, ViewSonic had revealed its V55 smartphone which includes Iris scanner for the first time.
The TCL Pride T500L is a Dual-SIM phone which comes with Android 5.1 Lollipop Operating System and features a 5-inch Full-HD IPS display offering 440 ppi. It is powered by 2.5 GHz octa-core processor along with 2GB of RAM. It has 16GB of internal memory and can be expanded using microSD card.
It comes with a 13 mega-pixel camera with autofocus, an LED flash and it also comes with EIS (Electronic image Stabilisation). It also has an 8 mega-pixel front facing camera for selfies. It includes a 3050mAh battery. It is available in White and Slate Grey color model.
Connectivity options of the phone include 4G, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS and micro-USB port. Both the SIM cards in the phone support 4G. Sensors include Accelerometer, Gyroscope, Proximity sensor, Ambient Light Sensor.
TCL is a Chinese brand which manufactures different appliances including Televisions, washing machines, air conditioners, refrigerators, mobile phones and other small appliances.
